This bridge over the River Derwent lasted well into the C20th.

Thorganby is located some 10 miles to the South East of York, alongside the River Derwent.

Leaving the A64 Ring Road around York at the Southern (Selby) Intersection with the A19 head towards Selby.
After approximately 1 mile turn left at the traffic lights in Crockey Hill, signposted for Wheldrake and Thorganby.
Remain on this road through Wheldrake.

Thorganby will be found approximately 2 miles beyond Wheldrake.
