A Winter's Tale In Thorganby

At the beginning of 2003 Thorganby rejoiced in an old converted cattle shed, partially condemned by Environmental Health, and with more leaks in its roof than waterproof covering, for the village's recreation centre.

What a difference a year made - not to mention the determination of a band of volunteers determined to find the money necessary to contemplate a replacement.

Congratulations to them all. Dedication, effort, sweat and, I expect, a few tears all contributed to the result seen above. Now ready and operating  the village social life once again has a building fit for its purpose. A building we can all be proud of. A building that will provide a home for the Youth Club and the Golden Circle. A meeting centre for the Parish Council. A party centre for hire. A gathering spot for all purposes.

You, too, will be able to hire the Hall for private functions and you will have no worry about parking.
